Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of vcardonce. Plain language, no surprises.
The service
vcardonce is a software service operated by Black Sheep Digital Ltd (Company No. 16989285), registered in England and Wales, with registered address at 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom.
vcardonce.com lets you create, publish, and share a digital business card at a public URL and as a QR code. You may edit your card content at any time without an additional fee for the lifetime of the service.
vcardonce does not validate the content you publish on your card (links, contact details, imagery). You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of what you publish.
Accounts
Sign-in to vcardonce uses email-link or Google OAuth authentication. You are responsible for keeping access to the email account associated with your vcardonce account secure. One person or organisation per account.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use vcardonce for:
- Publishing illegal, harmful, or malicious content.
- Impersonating other people or organisations.
- Distributing malware, phishing, or scam payloads.
- Harassment or infringement of third-party rights.
- Any activity that violates applicable law.
We reserve the right to unpublish content, suspend accounts, or restrict access if these terms are violated.
Content ownership
You own the content you enter and the images you upload. By publishing a card, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, and transmit that content as necessary to operate the service. We do not analyse or repurpose your card content.
Availability
We aim to keep vcardonce available and reliable, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance windows and occasional downtime may occur. We make reasonable efforts to minimise disruption.
Pay-once pricing
vcardonce is offered on a pay-once basis. Paid plans (Pro, Multi) are one-time purchases — there is no subscription and no recurring billing. Your purchase unlocks the corresponding plan on your account for the lifetime of the service.
When you purchase a plan, you agree to the pricing and billing terms displayed at checkout. Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your payment card details.
Refunds and EU/UK right of withdrawal
Where consumer protection law gives you a statutory right of withdrawal (for example, the 14-day right under the EU Consumer Rights Directive or the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013), that right applies in addition to anything in these terms. By starting to use the paid service immediately after purchase, you may lose the right of withdrawal for digital content that has already been supplied with your express consent — see our Refund Policy for details.
If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us within 14 days at hello@blacksheepdigital.co.
Limitation of liability
vcardonce is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law (including for death, personal injury, or fraud).
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Black Sheep Digital Ltd against any claims, damages, or costs arising from content you publish through vcardonce or from your breach of these terms.
Termination
You may stop using vcardonce and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms. On termination, your public card is taken offline.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes arising from these terms or your use of vcardonce are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights in your country of residence.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
